Path Improvement Project Completed
Update on Footpath and Safety Barrier Improvements - Opens!
We’re delighted to share that the footpath and barrier improvement project is now complete!The new footpath is open, the old “K-style” barrier has been removed, the pathway has been levelled, and the roadside safety barrier is fully installed—making access safer and easier for everyone.This upgrade will greatly improve entry to the Playing Fields for all members of the community, and we’re proud to see it completed so quickly.It has truly been a real community effort, with local groups working together to make this improvement a reality.A huge thank you to our supporters for making it possible:
- £400 – contribution from Long Riston Primary School
- £400 – contribution from the PTFA
- £400 – grant from the Withernwick Community Wind Farm Fund
- £1,260 – funded from Playing Fields Committee reserves
