Grant News - Multi-Use Games Area (MUGA) Project

We’re excited to share a really positive February update on our MUGA project at Long Riston Playing Fields — and what a month it’s been!

💚 February fundraising success

During February alone, we raised an amazing £18,519.77, thanks to the following generous supporters:

  • Sport England Movement Fund – £15,000

  • SSE Aldbrough Community Fund – £1,719.77

  • Withernwick Wind Farm Small Grants Fund – £1,500

  • ANDYS – £300

That brings our overall total raised so far to an incredible £31,879.43 🎉

These grants make a massive difference and bring us a big step closer to creating a fantastic, all-weather space for sport, play, and community activities for people of all ages.

Every donation, fundraiser, and show of encouragement really matters — thank you to everyone who’s supported us so far.

What’s next

We’ll continue fundraising locally while progressing plans and quotations for the MUGA build. Over the coming weeks we’ll also be running more community activities and approaching additional funders.

If you’d like to help — whether by volunteering, spreading the word, or donating — we’d love to hear from you. Even small contributions add up and help turn this project into reality.

Thank you again for being part of this journey. We’ll keep you posted with further updates very soon.
